Want some ocean with that plastic?
Want some ocean with that plastic?

I spotted this area as I was cycling south out of Bacolod and couldn’t just leave it be.

I’ve kitesurfed at this beach around 4 years ago and so I was dismayed to see just how much plastic there was there. Perhaps I notice it more now. But I’m sure the plastic is increasing, statistics back it up, and I think if you were to get a picture of the same beach a decade ago there would be a big shock factor. Environmental destruction is happening so quickly that we can see it. Change is fast, perhaps we are the first people to be witness changes of such proportion within the space of decades rather than centuries. Glad to be working on this.
